Manav Thakkar, born on April 14, 2000, in Rajkot, Gujarat, has quickly risen through the ranks to become one of the top table tennis players globally. At just 24 years old, he has already made a significant mark in the sport, becoming a household name due to his impressive achievements. Thakkar's dedication, skill, and relentless pursuit of excellence have earned him numerous accolades, including prestigious titles at national and international levels.

Thakkar's journey in table tennis began at a young age, and his dedication to the sport has led him to significant milestones. He gained international recognition when he became first Indian to be the world number one in the Under-18 and Under-21 category. This achievement marked a pivotal moment in his career, showcasing his talent on a global stage.

In addition to his individual success, Thakkar represented India at the 2018 Asian Games, where the team secured a bronze medal. His performance in various tournaments has consistently placed him among the elite players in the sport, reflecting his hard work and commitment.

Thakkar employs a right-handed shakehand grip, a common style among competitive players. His training regimen incorporates elements from other sports which he indulged in at a young age, which contributes to his agility and overall performance on the table. Manav Thakkar is also a prominent figure in the Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT) league, where he will play for the U Mumba TT team for the third successive year.
