After a gap of seven years, India played host to the prestigious Seamaster 2017 ITTF World Tour - India Open at the glamorous, state-of-art Thyagraj Sports Complex in the capital.
Dubbed as the biggest Table Tennis event ever hosted by India with a prize money of US $150,000 and the World Rankings at stake, the event featured Indian veteran paddler, Achanta Sharath Kamal among various international stars such as Dimitrij Ovtcharov, Vladimir Samsonov, Niwa Koki as well as Hong Kong duo Doo Hoi Kem and Lee Ho Ching.
