Mrs. Vita Dani is one of the few female sports entrepreneurs and hilanthropists in India, whose contributions have brought about a revolutionary change in the country's sports landscape, particularly in table tennis, football, and physical literacy.
In 2017, Mrs. Dani, along with Mr. Niraj Bajaj, launched Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT), India's premier table tennis league, with the aim of revolutionizing the sport in the country. UTT has not only changed the perception of Indian table tennis globally but has also become a game-changer for numerous table tennis players in India. Today, it is one of the most sought-after global sports properties in the world of table tennis.
Mrs. Dani's association with UTT has played a significant role in professionalizing table tennis at all levels in India, providing international exposure to Indian players and technical staff. UTT has become a stakeholder in India's vision of winning medals at the Olympics 2028. As a result of her vision and achievements, she has been inducted as a Governing Board Member of ITTF Foundation.
Being the former president of the Mumbai City District Table Tennis Association (MCDTTA) and a patron of the Maharashtra State Table Tennis Association (MSTTA), Mrs. Dani has been instrumental in redefining Indian table tennis and making it a mainstream sport. She has organized tournaments across 25 states in India and focused on grassroots development, aiming to nurture new champions for the game and the country.
In addition to her contributions to table tennis, Mrs. Dani is the co-founder of Dani Sports Foundation, which aims to improve physical literacy and raise the standard of sports in India. She also serves on the advisory board of Annamrita, an initiative by ISKCON that provides mid-day meals to children.
Mrs. Dani's vision extends to football as well. She is the co-owner of the two-time champion Indian Super League club, Chennaiyin FC. Her goal is not only to create an elite football club in India with a strong legacy but also to develop a flourishing grassroots program for young footballers. Her efforts have resulted in over 100,000 young children engaging in football training in Tamil Nadu alone.
Following an illustrious career spanning 35 years, Mr. Niraj Bajaj is currently serving as Chairman of Bajaj Auto. He holds positions such as -- Chairman & Managing Director of Mukand Ltd., Promoter-Director of the Bajaj Group, Chairman Bachhraj & Company Pvt. Ltd. & Jamnalal Sons Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Bajaj was a three-time national table tennis champion having represented India for seven years and also captained the team for four years between 1970-1977. He is also the Founder Director of Olympic Gold Quest (OGQ). Mr. Bajaj has been anointed with the Arjuna Award, Indian’s highest sports honour, the Shiv Chhatrapati Award, Maharashtra’s highest sports honour and the Maharashtra Gaurav Puraskar.
