A recipient of the Padma Shri and Khel Ratna Award, Sharath Kamal, 42, hails from Chennai and boasts seven Commonwealth Games gold medals, two Asian Games medals, four Olympic Games appearances, and two ITTF Pro Tour titles among his accolades. Introduced to table tennis and coached by his father and uncle, who were state-level players and national-level coaches, Sharath has become one of the best players the country has produced. He was also the flag bearer for India at the Paris Olympics 2024.
