Revered national table tennis player Mouma Das was conferred the prestigious Padma Shri title on the 72nd Republic Day. In UTT, Mouma Das has played for Shaze Challengers in 2017 and RSPG Mavericks in 2018.
Her journey at UTT has been a terrific one. She played in the finals against Falcons TTC in season 1. She played for RSPG Mavericks in season 2 and took them to semi finals.
Winning over a hundred gold medals at national and international level, Das holds the record of bagging the most medals by an Indian player in Commonwealth Games table tennis. She is also the first and only Indian with 15 appearances in the World Table Tennis Championship.
Mouma Das has also been awarded the Arjuna award in 2012, along with the following accolades:

"I became a mother in December 2019 and didn't get to play after that because of the COVID pandemic. This honour will give me extra motivation to come back stronger and win more laurels for the country.” Mouma said to PTI after receiving the honour.
