The Empowerji Challengers will face the RP-SG Mavericks in the second match of CEAT Ultimate Table Tennis season two to start their journey. The Challengers are back with a new look and a hungrier mindset, while the Mavericks, too, will be eager for victory.

Empowerji Challengers
Tiago Apolonia, who has a World ranking of 40 currently, is the driving force of the Challengers with his skillset. Representing his nation in three Olympics, Apolonia has garnered a lot of experience and will bring all of that to the table. World No. 12 Simon Gauzy, World No. 20 Lee Ho Ching, and World No. 37 Georgina Pota are the international assets the Challengers have added to form a well-rounded foreign contingent.
The Challengers have put their faith this season in talented youngsters such as Manav Thakkar and Prapti Sen, who have impressed one and all with their expertise in the junior circuits. The presence of Arjun Ghosh and veteran Divya Deshpande complete the squad.
RP-SG Mavericks
The perfect balance of young and experienced players can be the key to RP-SG Mavericks’ success this season.
Ranked 81 in the World, Captain Harmeet Desai is one of the key players for the Mavericks and will be highly relied upon under pressure. Mouma Das is synonymous with experience in the side, having a career spanning over a decade. Ayhika Mukherjee and Siddhesh Pande are the young guns who will add the zest and energy to the line-up.
In the international set-up, world No. 33, Kou Lei and World No. 20 Mattias Karlsson have joined the Mavericks to enhance their attack. Doo Hoi Kem, current World No. 13, is one of the stars picked for the side while Sabine Winter adds dynamism to the team’s attack.
