While Goa have already secured their place in the semifinals, UP head into the contest knowing they can no longer qualify for the playoffs mathematically.

Staged under the aegis of the Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) and promoted by Niraj Bajaj and Vita Dani, Butterfly UTT Season 7 features 42 players from around the world, including 14 Olympians, while continuing to strengthen the Indian table tennis ecosystem through elite competition and year-round development initiatives.

Goa have set the benchmark throughout Season 7, remaining the competition's only unbeaten side while accumulating a league-best 46 points. Their success has been built on contributions across the lineup, with Abhinandh PB, Alvaro Robles, Bernadette Szocs and Syndrela Das all ranking among the league leaders in games won.

One of the tie's standout contests could see breakout Indian star Abhinandh take on Manav Thakkar, who has lost both his Men’s Singles rubbers since his return from illness. Abhinandh has won a league-high 11 games this season, while another intriguing men's battle could pit Robles against German Ricardo Walther.
