IndianOil UTT Season 6: Jaipur Patriots Meet U Mumba TT in Grand Finale to Crown New Champion
Rivalries will reignite, new heroes will emerge, and high-stakes battles will unfold as a new champion is crowned in the IndianOil Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT) Season 6 Grand Finale between first-time finalists Jaipur Patriots and U Mumba TT on Sunday. The tie will be broadcast live on Star Sports Khel, Star Sports 2 Tamil, and streamed on JioHotstar.
Both teams arrive in the final riding the high of narrow, high-pressure semi-final wins against last year’s finalists. Jaipur Patriots edged out table-toppers Dabang Delhi TTC 8-7 in a thrilling first semi-final, while U Mumba TT staged a dramatic Golden Point comeback to dethrone defending champions Dempo Goa Challengers by the same scoreline.
Staged under the aegis of the Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) and promoted by Niraj Bajaj and Vita Dani, IndianOil UTT continues to grow as a premier professional league. All 23 ties, over 16 action-packed days, will take place at Ahmedabad’s EKA Arena, with tickets available only on BookMyShow.
When these two teams met during the league stage, it was Jaipur who came out on top in yet another 8-7 cliffhanger. Britt Eerland sealed that tie in the final rubber, after crucial singles wins from Sreeja Akula, Kanak Jha, and Jeet Chandra. U Mumba, however, swept the mixed doubles in straight games and will look to use that pairing advantage again on Sunday.
Jaipur Patriot’s surge this season has been anchored by their core. Sreeja Akula remains unbeaten, with six match wins from six—a league-best record. Kanak Jha enters the final on a four-match winning streak, while Jeet Chandra has looked increasingly sharp when called upon. Yashansh Malik, handed a high-pressure role in the semi-final against Sathiyan, delivered big with a decisive 2-1 win.
U Mumba, meanwhile, arrive with momentum and belief. Bernadette Szocs and Yashaswini Ghorpade are both on three-match winning runs, with Ghorpade pulling off one of the most clutch performances of the season to seal their semi-final victory. Lilian Bardet’s attacking game has kept opponents on the back foot throughout the league, while the Szocs-Akash Pal pairing has delivered four wins in six mixed doubles outings.
With the season’s two standout teams going head-to-head once more, the final is guaranteed to deliver edge-of-the-seat action, fine margins, and the rise of a new champion. Whether it’s Jaipur’s all-conquering run or U Mumba’s grit under pressure that prevails, IndianOil UTT Season 6 will have a fresh name on its honour roll.
